adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Here comes Lollo, a beautiful female dog, approximately 4 years old, who is currently under the care of our shelter in our area. Lollos' life has not been easy so far. She was found on a field near a village in the vicinity of Zalau with her puppies. Despite the efforts of the animal welfare workers, Lollos' puppies did not survive, leaving behind a loving, selfless mother. Lollo weighs around 26 kg and is about 60 cm tall, fitting into the category of larger dogs. Despite her bad experiences, she is friendly towards people and is happy to meet every human who crosses her path. She also shows herself to be a real model student. She barks rarely, does not jump up, loves to be stroked, and even walks on a leash. However, the pretty black-and-white female dog with the short tail behaves very insecurely at first in unfamiliar situations and definitely needs a person who can give her security during these moments. The life in the shelter also leaves its mark on Lollo. The female dog often looks sad, which suggests that she may have once had a home and her human was a nuisance. She is, however, a very uncomplicated four-legged friend who gets along well with other dogs. Lollo shows many visual characteristics of a Ciobănesc Românesc de Bucovina, a Romanian herding and livestock protection dog. It is therefore not impossible that she will show herding traits after an adjustment period. Herding dogs often stand out through intensive protective and watchful qualities, which were essential for the work they were bred for. For Lollo, an optimal home would be one with a garden or a yard that she can guard, as well as people who are familiar with these dogs or are willing to learn about them. Do you want to give Lollo a home? Even a foster home would already help her and perhaps open the door to a better future. Many thanks to Anja S.! You have given Lollo her name! Date: 31.07. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Anja S.! Du hast Lollo ihren Namen geschenkt! About Lollo

What life with Lollo looks like

Lollo is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lollo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lollo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lollo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lollo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lollo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lollo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lollo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
