Patience is trust, and it comes when the time is ripe! Wonders begin when we give our dreams more energy. So it is also with our loving Lona, who dreams so much of her own home with sensitive and patient people and hopes that the wonder will come true in the end! The name Lona derives from the Roman and means as much as Lion. Like a Lion, our Lona had to fight her way through. We found her alone wandering on the street, searching for food, shelter, and connection. We took her to our foster home, where she can now recover. Lona is about 3.5 years old. Initially, she showed herself to be very sensitive and shy towards us, but she was never aggressive or bit. Sometimes she likes to be alone and occupies herself with her toys. She is a rather quiet type and loves to be stroked, although she does not necessarily want to be picked up and will simply go when it gets too much. At night, she likes to be with her primary caregiver and would also rather sleep with her in the bed. At the foster home, Lona gets along well with the other cats. Whether she could also live with dogs, we have not tested yet. Lona longs for her own family and loves open canners who give her the time to come in peace, cuddle, and simply be loved. With a little patience, Lona will surely open up quickly and become a loving companion. As she gets along well with other cats, there should already be at least one other feline in the new home. Otherwise, Lona could also bring someone along. Because of her still shy nature, a free roam is probably not for the little mouse who has already adapted to apartment living. A secure balcony would make her very happy. For her travel arrangements, Lona will be microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, dewormed, and treated for fleas, as well as tested negative for FIV and FELV. Geduld ist das Vertrauen, das kommt, wenn die Zeit reif ist! Wunder beginnen immer dann, wenn wir unseren Träumen mehr Energie geben. So ist es auch bei unserer liebevollen Lona, die so sehr von einem eigenen Zuhause bei einfühlsamen und geduldigen Menschen träumt und hofft, dass das Wunder am Ende wahr wird! Der Name Lona leitet sich aus dem römischen her und bedeutet so viel wie Löwe. Stark wie ein Löwe musste sich unsere Lona bisher auch durchkämpfen. Wir fanden sie alleine umherirrend auf der Straße, auf der Suche nach Futter, nach Unterschlupf, nach Anschluss. Wir nahmen sie mit zu uns auf die Pflegestelle, wo sie sich nun erholen kann. Lona ist etwa 3,5 Jahre alt. Uns gegenüber zeigte sich Lona anfangs sehr sensibel und schüchtern, war aber nie aggressiv oder hat gebissen. Zwischendurch ist sie gerne für sich und beschäftigt sich auch mal alleine mit ihren Spielsachen. Sie ist ein eher ruhiger Typ und liebt es, gestreichelt zu werden, wobei sie nicht unbedingt auf den Arm genommen werden möchte und einfach geht, wenn es ihr zu viel wird. In der Nacht ist sie gerne bei ihrer Bezugsperson und schläft dann auch am liebsten mit im Bett. Mit den anderen Katzen auf der Pflegestelle kommt Lona gut zurecht. Ob sie auch mit Hunden zusammenleben könnte, haben wir bisher noch nicht getestet. Lona sehnt sich nach einer eigenen Familie und lieben Dosenöffnern, die ihr die Zeit geben, in Ruhe anzukommen, sie kuscheln und einfach liebhaben. Mit ein wenig Geduld wird sich Lona sicher schnell öffnen und ein liebevoller Wegbegleiter werden. Da sie sich gut mit anderen Katzen versteht, sollte im neuen Zuhause bereits mindestens eine weitere Fellnase leben. Ansonsten kann Lona auch gerne jemanden mitbringen. Freigang ist aufgrund ihrer noch schüchternen Art wohl eher nichts für die kleine Maus, die sich an die Wohnungshaltung auch schon gewöhnt hat. Über einen gesicherten Balkon würde sie sich aber sicher sehr freuen. Bei ihrer Ausreise wird Lona gechipt, geimpft, kastriert, entwurmt und entfloht, sowie negativ auf FIV und FELV getestet sein.
