Adopt Lorelai

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Home is looking for a beautiful and friendly 4-year-old tabby cat Lorelai! Lorelai came into my care this spring from the village of Sipa. From the same litter, last year I rescued seven adult cats, one of whom soon gave birth to four kittens - I thought that would eliminate the colony, but I was wrong! A new request for help came from Lorela. A litter of four kittens was born in the shelter on April 27th, two of whom have already found their forever homes. Lorelai is one of the cats who has undergone the most change. When she arrived, she was as wild as a wildcat, all approaches ended for me with bites and scratches. Initially, I could do nothing but talk softly to her with a carrier and look deeply into her eyes. Gradually, she began showing signs of softening and started seeking attention. Now Lorelai really enjoys cuddles and affection. She even allows herself to be picked up. She gets along well with other cats, and she is usually in someone's company. Lorelai is still shy with strangers and it will definitely take time to adjust in a new home. But she will definitely adapt, I can promise you that! And that is the best feeling in the world when a timid cat starts to trust you! Lorela has had all the procedures done: she is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has received proper parasite treatment. If you are ready to open your heart to a shy tabby cat, please contact us!

Kodu otsib kaunis ja sõbralik 4-aastane kiisupreili Lorelai! Lorelai saabus minu hoole alla sel kevadel Sipa külast. Samast kandist päästsin eelmisel aastal veel seitse täiskasvanud kassi, kellest ühel sündis varsti ka neli poega – arvasin, et sellega sai koloonia likvideeritud, kuid eksisin! Anti teada järjekordsest abivajajast, tiinest Lorelaist. Turvakodus sündis tal 27. aprillil neli poega, kellest kaks on nüüdseks ka päriskodud leidnud. Lorelai on üks suurima muutuse läbinud kassikesi. Tekkis huvi? Täida ankeet ja paku kodu!

About Lorelai

What life with Lorelai looks like

Lorelai is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ in Estonia.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇪Adopting from Estonia

Frequently asked

Adopting Lorelai, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lorelai?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lorelai on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lorelai if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lorelai already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lorelai isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Gabrieli Loomade Elu MTÜ early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lorelai and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ET). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
