Lota (Лота)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

This child has been unwanted since birth. Along with her mother, sister, and brothers, the previous owners abandoned them on the street when they were still very young. Good people noticed them and temporarily took them in for foster care, where they warmed and fed the small ones, but they won't be able to keep them for long, so their fate remains uncertain... Lota is very sociable, she has already received her first vaccination, treated for fleas and worms. Her mother is small, up to 15 kg. Lota also won't be big. Doing good deeds isn't difficult. It's impossible to save everyone. But you can save one furry child... Don't buy, take Lota, because she has nowhere else to go and no place to live... The girl hopes that she will live her life in a loving family as a full member of the family. Help fulfill the dream of this nice little one and thus save her life.

About Lota (Лота)

What life with Lota (Лота) looks like

Lota (Лота) is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv in Ukraine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lota (Лота), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lota (Лота)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lota (Лота) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lota (Лота) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lota (Лота) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lota (Лота) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lota (Лота) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
