Lotta

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Lotta was born in June 2026 and is currently about 21 cm tall. She is expected to reach a medium size of around 50 cm when fully grown. The young female dog is a lively little personality who wants to discover something new every day. Curious and interested, she observes her surroundings and greets people kindly. Of course, a lot of puppy-typical nonsense is also part of her daily routine. Lotta is at an age where she explores the world and at the same time begins to test her limits slowly. That's why she needs people with patience, humor and joy in raising a young dog. Life in a house is still unknown to Lotta. She must first learn all the sounds and routines of a family routine. Housebreaking, leash training and being alone are also things she must learn step by step. The time alone should be built up gently and in small stages after a good acclimatization period. We are looking for a loving home for Lotta that gives her security and lets her arrive without high expectations. Who is willing to invest time and patience in the development of a young female dog will be rewarded with a loyal companion who still has her whole life ahead of her. Lotta is vaccinated and chipped and will be placed with a protection contract after a positive preliminary check. Due to her age, she is not spayed yet. Departure possible from now! General note on our protégés: Our dogs in Romania are regularly visited so that we can reassess their behavior and development again and again. These personal impressions help us very much to convey a possibly good picture of each individual dog. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that a dog in a new environment - with new people, new routines and new impressions - can also show itself differently. This is quite normal and is part of every change process. Many dogs open up faster at home and show sides that were not visible in the Shelter. Our assessments are therefore based on current observations, but are not a guarantee for every behavior in the new environment. They should give an orientation and show how the dog presents itself in the Shelter - and what potential is in him. We are convinced: With patience, understanding and a loving environment, every dog can find its way and develop positively.

About Lotta

What life with Lotta looks like

Lotta is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lotta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lotta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lotta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lotta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lotta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lotta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lotta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
