Lowie is geen hond voor onervaren baasjes. Deze kerel is een labradoodle en heeft dus de intelligentie van de poedel. Dat is een kenmerk wat niet mag onderschat worden. Deze honden hebben het nodig om hun hersenen bezig te houden. Tegelijk zitten ze ook boordevol energie. Wanneer Lowie niet voldoende uitdagingen krijgt, geraakt hij erg snel gefrustreerd en komt angstig uit de hoek. Lowie is NIET sociaal. Niet naar andere honden, niet naar kinderen. Hij voelt zich enkel veilig bij zijn eigen baasjes. Lowie heeft al een aantal bijtincidenten op zijn kerfstok. Bezoekers, pakjesbezorgers, kinderen,…iedereen die te snel, te dicht in zijn buurt komt moet opletten. Als we zijn afgelegd parcours bekijken, stellen we vast dat Lowie in eerste instantie uit angst bijt. Zolang hij angstig is, heeft het geen zin om nieuwe prikkels aan te bieden. Lowie heeft het nodig om eerst in een rustige state of mind te komen. Pas dan kan hij opnieuw dingen aanleren, nieuwe dingen ontdekken en terug van het leven genieten. We zijn op zoek naar een thuis waar heel veel ruimte is en waar Lowie zijn eigen, stille plek heeft in huis. We zijn héél specifiek op zoek naar een baas die absoluut niets verwacht van Lowie. Besef goed dat het weken of zelfs maanden kan duren vooraleer Lowie zich leert ontspannen. De kans bestaat ook dat hij zich in een andere omgeving net heel anders gaat gedragen,…Fingers ( en pootjes) crossed. Je kan zoals steeds op ons rekenen voor persoonlijke begeleiding.
