Lucy came to the animal shelter when her previous owner could no longer take care of her due to health reasons. Lucy is typically reserved with strangers at first. With familiar people, she is open, friendly, and playful, she can be a real chatterbox. According to her previous owners, she is good at looking after the house and yard and reliably reports strangers. At the shelter, Lucy has not yet been introduced to other dogs, and her compatibility with other animals is strongly dependent on their liking each other. In her previous home, she always had constant access to the outdoors, so she would likely not be very happy in a small city apartment.

Lucy kam ins Tierheim, da sich ihre Vorbesitzerin aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht mehr um sie kümmern konnte. Rassetypisch ist Lucy bei Fremden erst mal zurückhaltend. Bei ihr bekannten Personen ist sie aufgeschlossen, freundlich, vermust und witzig, sie kann ein richtiger Quatschkopf sein. Laut Aussage der Vorbesitzer passt sie gut auf Haus und Hof auf und meldet Fremde zuverlässig. Mit anderen Hunden wurde Lucy im Tierheim noch nicht vergesellschaftet, laut den Vorbesitzern ist ihre Verträglichkeit mit Artgenossen stark sympathieabhängig. In ihrem alten Zuhause hatte sie permanenten Zugang nach draußen, in einer kleinen Stadtwohnung wäre sie vermutlich daher nicht besonders glücklich.
