Luna

Chihuahua · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Luna is a cross of a Chihuahua and French Bulldog, she is a small girl currently but has some growing to do but will still be a small dog. Despite this, she is full of personality and is a typical fun loving, cheeky pup! Luna loves other dogs and loves to play, however, she can be a lot and is currently learning how to not be overbearing and when to have a break from other dogs, so if living with another dog, this resident dog would need to be very tolerant and help teach Luna how to play appropriately. Luna is a stunning 4 month old pup looking for a lovely new home to call her own. Luna will need someone who is willing to take on all the fun that comes with settling in a new pup, toilet training, leaving hours, socialisation etc. Luna is a really special, loving girl who is currently in one of our foster homes continuing her journey figuring out the big wide world.

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a large puppy/kitten chihuahua dog waiting at Dogs Trust Bridgend in Mid Glamorgan.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dogs Trust Bridgend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dogs Trust Bridgend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dogs Trust Bridgend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
