Luna

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Luna came as a little puppy to the animal shelter. She was dropped off in an orange box and didn't have the best start in life. However, she was lucky and was taken out by an animal rescuer and now lives in a private foster home with other dogs. Despite her tough start, she hasn't let anything dampen her joy for life and is today a happy, curious, and very social little girl dog. Luna is still young (currently 4.5 months) and is discovering the world with great enthusiasm. She is friendly towards people and interested in her surroundings. Sometimes her little schnauzer character comes through, as she naturally tries out what a young puppy can do. With loving and consistent training, she will certainly become a great companion for life. She will grow quite large. Therefore, we are looking for people for Luna who are aware of this responsibility and are eager to work with a large dog, challenge him, and grow together. A home or living situation with plenty of space and opportunities outdoors would be ideal for her. A place that is only suitable for apartment living does not fit Luna, as she needs movement, space, and new impressions and also enjoys being outdoors to observe. Luna wishes for a home with active people, ideally with a herding dog – experience, the time, patience, and joy in accompanying a young dog as it grows. People who can give her security, show her the world, and finally allow her the life she deserves. Those who would like to give Luna a loving home and can imagine having this large, lively whirlwind by their side are welcome to contact us. Luna is eagerly waiting to finally become part of a loving family. Luna is microchipped, regularly dewormed, and fully vaccinated. She will be passport-ready from early June 2026. Contact:. Kontakt:

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Pfotenhilfe Antalya in Ansbach.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Pfotenhilfe Antalya handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Pfotenhilfe Antalya will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Pfotenhilfe Antalya early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
