Luna

Mixed Breed · Female

Luna is a beautiful rabbit with lovely golden fur and a gentle, affectionate nature. Having sadly lost her beloved husbunny, she is now missing having a companion to cuddle up with and would thrive in a home where she can bond with another friendly rabbit. She’s a playful girl who enjoys chasing her treat ball around, especially when there’s something tasty involved! Luna also has a softer side and is quite happy soaking up attention. She particularly enjoys head rubs and will even reward you with kisses once she feels comfortable. Luna is looking for a calm, loving home where she can form a close bond again, whether with a suitable rabbit companion or with humans who understand her need for company and affection. She has so much love to give and would make a wonderful addition to the right home 🐰💛

About Luna

What life with Luna looks like

Luna is a adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Bristol Rabbit Rescue & Friends in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Bristol Rabbit Rescue & Friends handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Bristol Rabbit Rescue & Friends will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Bristol Rabbit Rescue & Friends early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
