Spooky is a gorgeous young female Syrian hamster, estimated to be under a year old, who is looking for her forever home. Despite her slightly spooky name, there really isn’t anything scary about this little girl! Her foster mum describes her as one of the friendliest hamsters she’s ever met. Spooky absolutely loves attention, is very affectionate and curious, and has never bitten. ❤️ She’s also a little creature of habit – 8pm is Spooky o’clock! That’s when you can reliably expect her to emerge, ready for an evening of activity and adventure. She loves running on her wheel and enjoys spending time in her playpen, although her curious nature means she’d much rather be out exploring and free roaming whenever she gets the opportunity! Spooky particularly enjoys having different textures and substrates to investigate, including beech chips, and loves digging and exploring. She’s a big fan of her regular food mix and pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, coconut and dandelion root. Spooky came into our care following an incident involving a cat. She was taken to a veterinary practice but sadly wasn’t collected afterwards, so Bristol Rabbit Rescue and Friends stepped in to give her the fresh start she deserved. Thankfully, Spooky hasn’t looked back. She’s now thriving in foster care and has shown herself to be a loving, energetic, confident and incredibly sweet little hamster. After everything she’s been through, we’d love to find Spooky a wonderful permanent home where she’ll have plenty of space to explore, lots of enrichment and, most importantly, humans who enjoy her company just as much as she enjoys theirs.
