Lunaris&Solara

Mixed Breed · Unknown

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Solara & Lunaris can stay in their Romanian foster home! Their story: Solara & Lunaris – An unbeatable team is searching for its new home. Two wonderful naked-mole rats, who immediately win hearts with their delicate, loving personalities. The two are about five years old and have a very close relationship due to their inseparable bond. Therefore, we wish for them a home where they can stay together. For such an unbeatable team should not be separated. They are quiet and very clingy, they adapt quickly to new environments when they are around people who give them affection and attention. Solara and Lunaris are also good with children and show no shyness; on the contrary, they always seek closeness and love. Although they are curious and like to explore their surroundings, they can seem a bit lost in larger houses. They probably lived in a smaller space and still seek the other’s proximity when in a new room. Once they can retreat to a room, they feel safe and secure. Both get along excellently with other cats, but are not suitable for a life without each other. A shared home is a must for Solara and Lunaris. Solara and Lunaris have overcome the loss of their previous home, after their owner apparently was no longer able to care for them. Now they are searching for a loving home where they can experience the security and safety they deserve. Due to their quiet nature, they are not suitable for release, but in a safe home, they are very happy when they have their people and the space around them. Lunaris had a tooth removed because it was half broken, but that does not affect him – he is just as loving and charming as always. For their travel arrangements, Solara & Lunaris, like all our cats and tomcats, are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. On FIV and FeLV, they have already tested negative, and their EU pet passports are packed in their luggage.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen!Solara & Lunaris dürfen in ihrer rumänischen Pflegestelle bleiben! About Lunaris&Solara

What life with Lunaris&Solara looks like

Lunaris&Solara is a adult mixed breed cat waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lunaris&Solara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lunaris&Solara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lunaris&Solara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lunaris&Solara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lunaris&Solara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lunaris&Solara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lunaris&Solara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
