Luni

Female · Kitten · 2 months

Luni * 26.08.2026: Mama Mogli arrived with us heavily pregnant on 22.8.26 and, just 4 days later, gave birth to 7 beautiful black little ones. All the kittens are healthy and lively, a masterful achievement by their loving mother. Now it's time to look for a forever home of their own for this playful bunch. We are hoping for a loving home with plenty of space to play, romp, and explore, together with a sibling or with an existing young, social cat. Luni loves to cuddle, is people-oriented, is used to everyday noises such as the vacuum cleaner, and gets along well with children. When she leaves us, Luni will have been dewormed several times, microchipped, and vaccinated. Foster carer: N. M. Kehrig

Pflegestelle : N. About Luni

What life with Luni looks like

Luni is a kitten cat waiting at Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. in Schalkenbach.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luni?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luni if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Luni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luni isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenschutzfreunde Rhein-Ahr-Eifel e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
