Adopt Lupo

Male · Puppy · 4 months

Lupo is one of four brothers who were found as puppies in Tierra Blanca. They originally came from a government shelter along with other dogs listed for rehoming. Two of his brothers have already been adopted, while Lupo and his brother Linus are still waiting for their chance at a forever home.Lupo is a very nervous dog and is still learning to feel safe in the world. He was initially in foster care with a volunteer, but it was later decided that a refuge environment would be better for him at this stage, as it gives him more structured socialisation and regular interaction with other dogs, which helps his confidence. He will need a calm, understanding adopter who is patient and willing to let him build trust at his own pace. With time, stability, and gentle guidance, he has real potential to come out of his shell and thrive. If you are interested in Lupo or would like more information, please get in touch. About Lupo

What life with Lupo looks like

Lupo is a medium-sized puppy/kitten dog waiting at Live PAWS Tenerife in Spain.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lupo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lupo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Live PAWS Tenerife handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lupo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lupo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Live PAWS Tenerife will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lupo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lupo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Live PAWS Tenerife early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lupo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
