Lyla & Pip

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Twice the love. Twice the fun. One perfect pair. Lyla and Pip are two beautiful 3-year-old Arabian Mau girls looking for a home together. Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, these stunning cats are ready to find the family they've been waiting for. Born in Dubai, they came to the UK with their owner, but sadly a further relocation means they needed our help. If you love cats with personality, intelligence and affection in abundance, Lyla and Pip won't disappoint. Like many Oriental-type cats, they adore human company and form incredibly close bondswith their people. They want to be wherever you are, whether that's helping with the housework, supervising from a high perch, or curling up beside you at the end of the day. Agile and athletic, they love to climb, explore and keep an eye on everything that's going on. Having previously lived as indoor cats, they are seeking either a suitable indoor-only home or one with access to a secure catio or fully enclosed cat secured garden. Lyla and Pip need a home with no other cats, dogs or children, where they can enjoy all the love and attention they deserve. Please get in touch if you are the home these beautiful girls have been waiting for.

About Lyla & Pip

What life with Lyla & Pip looks like

Lyla & Pip is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Alexandra Bastedo (Champions) Animal Sanctuary Limited in United Kingdom.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lyla & Pip, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lyla & Pip?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Alexandra Bastedo (Champions) Animal Sanctuary Limited handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lyla & Pip on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lyla & Pip if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Alexandra Bastedo (Champions) Animal Sanctuary Limited will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Lyla & Pip already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lyla & Pip isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Alexandra Bastedo (Champions) Animal Sanctuary Limited early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lyla & Pip and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
