Adopt M. Bunnies

Unknown

The Marshmallow Bunnies are a family that came to Willows when their owner decided that they could no longer keep them. We had them all neutered so that the mum, dad and babies could all stay together. They all absolutely adore each other and live in a large, enriched environment with lots of exciting things to do. One thing we've noticed is that when they want to go for a sleep, they all often choose to snuggle down together in the same hutch, we are guessing that this is because it's a bit like being in a burrow for them (the hutches are always open by the way)! Please consider sponsoring this gorgeous little family! You'll get a special Willows supporter pack!Rabbits are very misunderstood creatures and many of them are fed incorrectly, kept in poor conditions, and have health issues that go unnoticed. Always talk with your local vet before taking on a rabbit as a pet because it really is a big responsibility to care for them correctly and can cost as much as £1,000 per year.

About M. Bunnies

What life with M. Bunnies looks like

M. Bunnies is a large adult rabbit waiting at Willows Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting M. Bunnies, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about M. Bunnies?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Willows Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw M. Bunnies on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt M. Bunnies if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Willows Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is M. Bunnies already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if M. Bunnies isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Willows Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know M. Bunnies and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
