Personality:Meet Mac, our adorable mixed breed puppy. He came to us as a stray with his sister Cheese so we have limited information about him. Mac has been spending his time in a foster home with his sister where he has been very confident. Like all puppies, he is playful and affectionate, but of course, a little mouthy and likes to chew on things. Behaviour:Mac is a large breed puppy who is full of energy and more confident than his sister Cheese, he can be a bit full on with his play style and doesn’t always listen when she’s had enough so will ideally need an adopter who has had experience with large breed strong willed puppies and a good sense of humour to help guide him through his early years in a positive way. Housing:Mac will need an adopter who can introduce him gradually to being left alone. We recommend this starts quite early on, so we can desensitise him to being alone, but this must be done gradually so we do not create a negative association. A family who can prioritise Mac’s learning and welfare at this early stage is imperative. Mac would love an enclosed garden to run around in. ***Please do not apply for this puppy if you are not in a position to adopt immediately, we will not process applications with holidays approaching***. Children/pets:Mac could live with any age children. We would consider a home with another calm / confident dog that would be comfortable with a very playful puppy, they will also need space to be separated if needed. He cannot be rehomed with cats.Please note – puppies can be very mouthy and nippy, so adults should consider this before applying, interactions with children MUST be supervised at all times. Vet history:Mac is up to date with flea and worming treatment. He has had his first vaccination and will need to return to the shelter for his 2nd vaccination and neutering (when he is old enough) Adoption fee:The adoption fee is £250. If you would like to make an additional donation over and above the adoption fee, this would be hugely appreciated. Additional information:All rented and leasehold properties will require written consent from the property owner or agent. This needs to be in place before completing an application form. If your application is successful, staff will request a copy.We reserve the right to remove a reserve at any stage of the adoption process if we believe it is in the best interest of the dog.Adopters should consider that previous medical conditions will now not be covered by insurance. Adopters are responsible for the on-going medical costs once the animal has been adopted.Due to the high number of applications we receive daily, regrettably we will only be able to contact the successful applicant.Please note you have to be 18+ to apply for an animal.
