Mady

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

Mady is small, cute, and with her just 8 weeks, still very new to this big world. But she already knows exactly what she wants: play, cuddle, and not miss anything exciting. Best of all, she would love to share all of this with someone, in a home where she can arrive, belong, and give her heart away. Mady and her eight siblings were simply abandoned in the woods - far too young to survive alone. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated case locally, and such fates often end tragically. Fortunately, the puppies were discovered by a woman in time, who asked for our help. Currently, the adorable big family is safely housed in a Romanian shelter. With her dark fur, small brown spots, and striking white paws, Mady is simply enchanting. She will undoubtedly grow into a real beauty. She is likely to grow to a medium size, a few centimeters more are also not excluded. Her mixed breed ancestry can only be guessed. A shepherd dog component is possible in our view. If she has inherited the corresponding characteristics, she could develop into an intelligent, active, and loyal companion who builds a close bond with her humans. Herding dogs are attentive, eager to learn, and want to be mentally as well as physically occupied. Mady would therefore be thrilled about long walks, great discovery tours, search games, and later perhaps dog sports. But her family should not forget that Mady is first and foremost a puppy. She must first learn what belongs to dog life - from house training to leash training and recall to staying alone. And then comes puberty, where the little model pupil will probably also try out her own ideas. She needs patient, loving, and consistent people who give her security and clear orientation. Our sociable Mady gets along well with other dogs and is friendly and social in dealing with them. She also knows cats already. After a positive preliminary check and the assumption of a deposit, she travels chipped, vaccinated, dewormed, dewormed, and with an EU pet passport. Mady is not yet spayed due to her age. Who is ready to bring an unconditional friendship into the house with Mady? Of course, the young lady is also happy about a foster home first. Thank you, Mady, for taking on the sponsorship of her name. Status: 18.09.2026 Further information on the preliminary check and deposit

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen!

About Mady

What life with Mady looks like

Mady is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mady, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mady?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mady on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mady if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mady already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mady isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mady and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
