Maestro, a neutered tomcat born around 2017, and Fila, a neutered Kätzin born around mid-2024, have gotten to know and love each other at our shelter. They were caught outdoors separately and, like most feral housecats, are still rather shy around people. Maestro has undoubtedly not only fathered many kittens in his lifetime but also fiercely defended his territory, as the scars on his face attest. With his housemates, he is very social, and Fila, in particular, is very attached to him, cuddling with him almost all day. While Maestro allows being stroked, Fila is still a bit more skeptical. However, she has also learned that people are at least good treat dispensers. The pair is now looking for a new home with patient people who can give them the time they need to settle in and gain their trust.

Maestro, Kater, kastriert, ca. 2017 geb. und Fila, Kätzin, kastriert, ca. Mitte 2024 geb. Maestro, auch Troll genannt, und Fila haben sich im Tierheim kennen und lieben gelernt. Sie wurden je draußen eingefangen und sind, wie die meisten verwilderten Hauskatzen, Menschen gegenüber noch recht schüchtern. Maestro hat in seinem bisherigen Leben sicherlich nicht nur viele Kinder gezeugt, sondern auch ordentlich sein Revier verteidigt, wovon die Narben in seinem Gesicht erzählen. Mit seinen Mitbewohnern zeigt er sich aber sehr sozial, wobei besonders Fila sehr von ihm angetan ist und fast den ganzen Tag mit ihm kuschelt. Während sich Maestro schon streicheln lässt, ist Fila noch etwas skeptischer. Allerdings hat auch sie schon gelernt, dass Menschen zumindest gute Leckerlie-Spender sind. Das Paar ist nun auf der Suche nach einem neuen Zuhause bei geduldigen Menschen, die ihnen die nötige Zeit geben, bis sie sich eingelebt und Vertrauen gefasst haben.
