Maggie

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 5 months

Weight: approximately 12-15 kg Final size: expected to be small to medium-sized Final residence: Romania 🐾 Maggie wishes for her own happy ending 🐾 about 5 months old (as of 01.05.2026) | friendly, playful puppy-type Also the little Maggie was found in a garden together with her two sisters when they were about two months old. The three puppies were covered in ticks and urgently needed help 😔 An engaged animal rescuer took the puppies right away and brought them to the vet. There, they received medical care and were freed from the many ticks 🩺🐶 Afterwards, the sisters were able to arrive at a loving foster home, rest, and just take it easy for a while 💕🏡 Today, Maggie is ready for the next big step – her own family ❤️ Maggie is a friendly, playful, and curious young female dog 🐶✨ She explores her surroundings with great joy and, of course, still has plenty of puppy fluff in her head 😄🌸 Like every puppy, Maggie still needs to learn doggy 1x1 📚🐾 House training, leash manners, and the everyday rules of harmonious cohabitation still belong to her learning tasks. With patience, love, and a loving, consistent upbringing, she will surely develop into a wonderful companion 🌟 All that Maggie now needs is people with hearts who will give her a safe, loving home and accompany her on her further life path 🏡❤️🐾😊 Maggie is already vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed according to travel arrangements but has not yet been neutered and has a veterinary checkup. She also possesses an EU pet passport. All our dogs travel with official Trace Papers and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. Note: When we assign breeds to our dogs, we base our decision solely on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made by the best of our knowledge and belief of the association and the involved veterinarians. However, these statements do not necessarily correspond to their actual genetic makeup (genotype), as a definitive determination would only be possible through DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each individual animal is based on careful observations by animal welfare workers at the rescue stations or by the respective foster homes. It should be noted that these assessments are based exclusively on the current local conditions in the rescue stations or foster homes. This animal is not yet neutered/spayed.

About Maggie

What life with Maggie looks like

Maggie is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Maggie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Maggie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Maggie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Maggie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Maggie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Maggie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Maggie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
