Adopt Maïdo

Cane Corso · Male · Adult · 10 years

Hi! I'm just quickly passing on my wasp waist, please... thanks. So here I am, I'm Maïdo and I'm looking for a family but ATTENTION not just any family, a family that perfectly knows my breed. You'll understand that we will minimize the risk of return. If I have to leave the shelter, it will be forever. Who talked about my weight again? Attention!! Otherwise, I love water in all forms: pool, river, shower. I'm not too much the friend of cats... well, what can you do, that's just how it is. The volunteers like me; they are all touched when they talk to me and I tilt my head to listen better, giving them my most touching look... they all melt. Too easy to have them. Otherwise I love scratches and rolling in the grass. Who talked about diet again? Attention!! I'm not deaf, either! I'm a glutton, let's not hide that, but I'm also very clean... the basic needs are outside. I'll add that I like the little moments with the human; it's so good to share. That's all I think I've told you about me... at least the essentials, so if my CV and my waist size (very slim) interest you, don't hesitate to come meet me. Happiness is shared and I'd like to share it with you.

Salut!

About Maïdo

What life with Maïdo looks like

Maïdo is a adult cane corso cat waiting at S.P.A Vauclusienne in Piégon.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Maïdo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Maïdo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. S.P.A Vauclusienne handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Maïdo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Maïdo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — S.P.A Vauclusienne will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Maïdo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Maïdo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with S.P.A Vauclusienne early rather than rehoming privately; they know Maïdo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
