Maak kennis met de zusjes Maisie en Nellie! Maisie en Nellie zijn van straat gehaald tijdens een TNR-programma. Ze hadden allebei ontstoken oogjes. Maisie had haar oogbollen nog waardoor de schade met antibiotica kon worden beperkt. Nu heeft ze een opgetrokken derde ooglid bij haar linkeroog dat troebel is. Ze kan goed zien. Nellie is haar oogbollen al kwijt. Ze is hoogstwaarschijnlijk zonder ogen geboren, wat vaak voorkomt bij kittens van besmette kattenmoeders. Ze is inmiddels behandeld. Soms tranen haar oogjes. Als ze wat ouder en zwaarder is krijgt ze een operatie voor het verwijderen van de oogjes. Nellie is blind, maar dit houdt haar niet tegen. Maisie fungeert als haar ogen, haar gids en haar steun en toeverlaat. Maisie en Nellie houden van knuffelen. Nellie krijgt meer zelfvertrouwen door aaitjes en liefde. Ze vindt het fijn als haar verzorgster haar laat zien waar ze haar pootjes moet zetten om in een krabpaal te klimmen of er weer vanaf te komen. Ze waardeert de subtiele steun van haar verzorgster, omdat ze graag nieuwe, veilige dingen leert die ze vervolgens zelfstandig kan doen.
