Malcom is a crossbreed Australian Shepherd, a victim of double merle, which has left him deaf and partially blind. He is part of a breeding retirement, so he has spent his entire life confined and knows very little of the outside world. His behavioral assessment places him at 3/4, meaning he will need experienced owners. He has real anxiety related to cars, bicycles, and scooters, and reacts to them. His relationship with strangers is complicated, but if the introduction is well-managed, and a bond is formed, he is loving, affectionate, and playful. Due to his deafness, he looks a lot at humans, which facilitates communication. He understands commands through gestures. The ideal situation would be to meet Malcom several times before adoption, to allow mutual trust to develop. We are looking for a quiet, rural home for him. He can live with other dogs!

Malcom est un chien croisé berger australien victime du double merle, ce qui l'a rendu sourd et malvoyant. Il fait parti d'un retrait d'élevage, il a donc passé toute sa vie enfermé et ne connait que très peu le monde extérieur. Son évaluation comportementale le plaçant à 3/4, il aura besoin de maîtres expérimentés. Il a une réelle angoisse liée aux voitures, vélos, scooters, et réagit dessus. Sa relation avec les inconnus est compliquée, mais si la rencontre est bien réalisée, et une fois le lien créé, c'est un amour, câlin, affectueux et joueur. De par sa surdité il regarde beaucoup l'humain, ce qui facilite la communication. Il comprend ainsi des commandes via les gestes. L'idéal serait de pouvoir venir rencontrer Malcom plusieurs fois avant une adoption, afin de permettre à la confiance mutuelle de s'établir. Nous recherchons pour lui un foyer calme, en campagne. Il pourra tout à fait vivre avec d'autres chiens !
