Un peu timide lors des premières rencontres, il se montre rapidement très gentil et attachant une fois en confiance.C'est un chat propre, calme et indépendant, capable de supporter les moments de solitude sans difficulté. Il apprécie également la compagnie de ses congénères et peut tout à fait partager son quotidien avec d'autres chats.Mali a cependant quelques besoins spécifiques. Habitué à profiter de l'extérieur, il a impérativement besoin d'un jardin sécurisé où il pourra explorer, se détendre et s'épanouir. La vie en appartement ne lui conviendrait donc pas. Concernant les enfants, il pourrait vivre dans une famille respectueuse et attentive, mais serait plus à l'aise avec des enfants déjà un peu plus grands, capables de comprendre son besoin de tranquillité.
