Mali

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Imagine living in a dog pack, without socialization, without proper conditions, without contact with humans... This is how Maly's life looked before the animal shelter. He came to us in 2020. A young dog scared by the whole situation and the loud, new place around him. For the first few days, he didn't even come out of his crate, and then the volunteers started working with him. He needed a lot of time to trust, he could snarl and nibble legs, but what's surprising, he wasn't used to human presence before. Many hours spent with him in the kennel paid off, he trusted one volunteer! He started going on walks, although those first ones weren't easy. Now Mali is beginning to trust more people. With newly met ones, he is very unsure. He is afraid of louder sounds, the touch of a human doesn't yet give him pleasure, although he allows himself to be gently petted, you can see that during this action he tenses up. He will feel more confident in the presence of another, sociable dog in the home. Mali is still learning to walk on a leash. Mali needs a patient home, ready to work with a behaviorist. A home without small children. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped. Date.

Wyobraźcie sobie żyć w stadzie psów, bez socjalizacji, bez odpowiednich warunków, bez kontaktu z człowiekiem… Tak właśnie wyglądało życie Maliego przed schroniskiem. Trafił do nas w 2020 roku. Młody psiak przerażony cała sytuacją i otaczający go głośnym i nowym miejscem. Wykastrowany, zaszczepiony, zaczipowany. Ur. 2018 r Kontakt w sprawie adopcji tylko telefoniczny: Kasia 507 237 447 Ola 533 564 074 Klaudia 609 530 953

About Mali

What life with Mali looks like

Mali is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko Radom in Radom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mali, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mali?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Radom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mali on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mali if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Radom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mali already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mali isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Radom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mali and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
