Adopt MALIK

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 12 years

Our sweet boy MALIK is still looking for his forever home! ⚽️ MALIK is a playful middle-sized puppy, born in 2023. He is playful, cheerful and enjoys playing with his friend with whom he shares his home in the shelter. MALIK is everything a young dog should be, curious, open, eager to learn and socialize with people. MALIK loves dog company, so a playful and non-dominant first dog in a household would be just his taste. Be sure to pay attention that MALIK has a hostile tendency during feeding and should be monitored at the beginning. Despite his youthful energy, MALIK is also balanced and friendly. He would be an ideal companion for active people or a family with older children (12 years and above) due to his larger build. He is not yet familiar with walking on a leash and life in a household, but he is extremely willing to learn and will surely progress quickly in everything that presents him with a challenge. There is still room for improvement and learning in him, and we believe that with dog training or appropriate socialization, he would master all the rules of living at home and proper behavior. If you want a beloved and fun companion in your home, then MALIK could be the perfect choice. Microchip number:

About MALIK

What life with MALIK looks like

MALIK is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at Udruga Spas Varaždin in Varaždin.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇭🇷Adopting from Croatia

Croatian shelters include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID in the adoption process. Several work with Italian and German rescue networks for placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting MALIK, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MALIK?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Udruga Spas Varaždin handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MALIK on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MALIK if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Udruga Spas Varaždin will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MALIK already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MALIK isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Udruga Spas Varaždin early rather than rehoming privately; they know MALIK and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
