Adopt Mandri

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 9 years

Profile: Born in 2020, Gender: female, neutered: yes, Character: friendly, calm, Size: approx. 50 cm, In shelter since: June 2022. Dear people who love animals, are you considering giving a dog from the animal shelter a wonderful life? Then I am definitely the right one for you! With my beautiful fur color and the distinctive black snout, I am a real looker who longs to become part of your life. Life in the kennel is not the real thing, I've heard that it should be fantastic to take long walks by the side of my heart's person and then be exhausted but happy, snuggling in the dog bed or on the sofa. All of this is denied to me as long as I am still here. Here in the shelter, I tend to be unexcited, and I observe the wild antics of my doggy friends with interest, but I don't necessarily have to join in the front row. Nevertheless, I also love getting your attention, and I will really put myself into it for you. I hope I can convince you, kind people, to give me a nice home and the start of a wonderful dog life. I understand that I might need some time and patience to get used to all the new impressions. With your support, I can develop into a happy and wonderful dogman and finally enjoy my life with you. Until then, I am waiting here for you! Yours, Mandri If you are interested in Mandri, please fill out our Interested Parties Form () or send us an email or a message on Facebook. Mandri is ready to travel and can travel to Germany with the next transport. Our dogs travel legally with Traces. Traces refers to the database system that monitors the entire animal transport within the EU. The dogs travel neutered (if old enough), vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed, and they have an EU passport. Additionally, for dogs over 12 months old, a rapid test for the following Mediterranean diseases is conducted before travel arrangements: Lyme disease, Anaplasmosis, Ehrlichiosis, Dirofilariasis, and leishmaniasis. The sponsorship of Mandri has been taken over by Beate P., and she ensures a full food bowl. Many thanks on behalf of the dogs!

About Mandri

What life with Mandri looks like

Mandri is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Seelen für Seelchen e.V. in Alfter.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mandri, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mandri?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Seelen für Seelchen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mandri on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mandri if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Seelen für Seelchen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mandri already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mandri isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Seelen für Seelchen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mandri and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
