Manoula, a timid and gentle mother dog, wandered through a small town while heavily pregnant. Several attempts to capture her and bring her to safety were initially unsuccessful. It wasn't until after she gave birth to six puppies that they managed to lure her onto a property and gently secure her. Manoula moved into our animal shelter with her babies, where the little family could finally find peace and security. The puppies grew up carefree there and have since found loving homes. Only Manoula is still waiting for her people. She remains a very shy dog, particularly cautious around strangers and preferring to keep her distance. It will take much time, patience, and empathy to gain her trust. Probably, she has never experienced that humans can mean safety and security in her life. Instead, she had to fight for survival on the streets, so the human was associated with danger rather than trust for a long time. Nevertheless, Manoula is making small but important progress. Every step, no matter how small, is a success for her and shows that she can learn to trust with the right people by her side. Manoula gets along very well with other dogs. A confident, friendly first dog on whom she can orient herself would certainly make it easier for her to start her new life. We are looking for a quiet, experienced home for Manoula with a securely fenced garden. Walks currently overwhelm her, so she cannot relieve herself outside of her familiar surroundings. Therefore, she needs people with experience in dealing with fearful dogs who give her the time she needs and accompany her without pressure on her journey. Whoever is willing to accept Manoula as she is will not get a dog that immediately seeks closeness. But whoever encounters her with patience, understanding, and respect can give her the chance at a life she has never been able to experience before - a life in safety, with trust, and a home of her own. scheu, verträglich, ruhig Manoula irrte hochträchtig durch einen kleinen Ort. Mehrere Versuche, sie einzufangen und in Sicherheit zu bringen, blieben zunächst erfolglos. Erst nachdem sie ihre sechs Welpen zur Welt gebracht hatte, gelang es, sie auf ein Grundstück zu locken und behutsam zu sichern. Gemeinsam mit ihren Babys zog Manoula in unser Tierheim, wo die kleine Familie endlich in Ruhe und Geborgenheit ankommen konnte. Die Welpen durften dort unbeschwert aufwachsen und haben inzwischen alle ein liebevolles Zuhause gefunden. Nur Manoula wartet noch auf ihre Menschen. Sie ist nach wie vor eine sehr scheue Hündin, die insbesondere fremden Menschen gegenüber vorsichtig ist und lieber Abstand hält. Es wird viel Zeit, Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen brauchen, um ihr Vertrauen zu gewinnen. Vermutlich hat sie in ihrem Leben nie erfahren, dass Menschen Sicherheit und Geborgenheit bedeuten können. Stattdessen musste sie auf der Straße ums Überleben kämpfen, sodass der Mensch für sie lange Zeit eher mit Gefahr als mit Vertrauen verbunden war. Dennoch macht Manoula kleine, aber wichtige Fortschritte. Jeder noch so kleine Schritt ist für sie ein Erfolg und zeigt, dass sie mit den richtigen Menschen an ihrer Seite lernen kann, Vertrauen zu fassen. Mit anderen Hunden ist Manoula sehr gut verträglich. Ein souveräner, freundlicher Ersthund, an dem sie sich orientieren kann, würde ihr den Start in ihr neues Leben sicherlich erleichtern. Für Manoula suchen wir ein ruhiges, hundeerfahrenes Zuhause mit einem sicher eingezäunten Garten. Spaziergänge überfordern sie derzeit noch, sodass sie sich außerhalb ihres vertrauten Umfelds nicht lösen kann.
