Mara was caught and taken away by our animal protectors during a spay/neuter campaign on the streets of Romania. These campaigns are very important to curb animal suffering. Typically, the animals are caught, neutered, and then released back into the wild. However, our colleagues on the ground noticed that the pretty female cat was a bit weak, so they kept her in custody for a week to perk her up until she was fully healthy. After that, they couldn't bring themselves to set the little Mara back on the streets, so we are now searching for a nice home for her. Since the original plan was to release her, Mara was already marked. This marking, an ear clip, is an important tool in life-saving spay/neuter efforts in animal protection. Such an ear clip is immediately recognizable and prevents an animal from being caught and subjected to a second campaign. The clip is performed during the spay procedure under general anesthesia and does not cause or hinder the cat once it has healed. After a short period of adjustment, in which one should give Mara a little time, some peace, and a lot of love, the affectionate, cuddly nature of this cat becomes apparent. She loves attention from people and is delighted by every snuggle. A true security and warmth in every home. Mara gets along well with other cats and dogs. We want to find a home for her where at least one other cat is already waiting for her or can move in with her. Mara wants to leave her old, hard life on the streets behind, so we only place her in a suitable apartment living home. During her travel arrangements, Mara is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and has her EU pet passport ready. For an adoption fee, you can give her a home. Mara wurde während einer Kastrations-Kampagne auf den Straßen Rumäniens von unseren Tierschützern eingefangen und mitgenommen. Diese Kampagnen sind sehr wichtig, um das Tierleid einzudämmen. Hierbei werden die Tiere für gewöhnlich gefangen, kastriert und danach wieder frei gelassen. Unseren Kollegen vor Ort fiel jedoch auf, dass die hübsche Katzendame ein wenig schwächelte, sodass sie sie für eine Woche in Gewahrsam behielten und aufpeppelten, bis sie wieder ganz gesund war. Danach brachten sie es nicht übers Herz, die kleine Mara wieder auf die Straße zu setzen, weshalb wir nun ein schönes Zuhause für sie suchen. Da der ursprüngliche Plan jedoch war, sie wieder frei zu lassen, wurde Mara bereits markiert. Diese Markierung, ein Schnitt am Ohr, ist ein wichtiges Instrument der lebensrettenden Kastrations-Bemühungen im Tierschutz. Eine solche Ohrmakierung ist auf den ersten Blick erkennbar und verhindert, dass ein Tier in einer zweiten Kampagne ein weiteres Mal eingefangen und einer Operation ausgesetzt wird. Der Schnitt wird während der Kastration unter Vollnarkose ausgeführt und schmerzt oder behindert die Katze nicht mehr, sobald sie verheilt ist. Nach einer kurzen Zeit der Eingewöhnung, in der man Mara ein wenig Zeit, Ruhe und ganz viel Liebe schenken sollte, zeigt sich das liebevolle, kuschelige Wesen dieser Katze. Sie liebt die Aufmerksamkeit der Menschen und freut sich über jede Kuscheleinheit. Ein wahrer Ruhepol, der Geborgenheit und Wärme in jedes Zuhause bringt. Mara versteht sich bestens mit anderen Katzen und Hunden. Wir möchten für sie ein Zuhause finden, in dem mindestens eine andere Katze schon auf sie wartet oder mit ihr einziehen darf. Mara möchte ihr altes, hartes Leben auf der Straße hinter sich lassen, weshalb wir sie nur in eine reine Wohnungshaltung vermitteln. Bei ihrer Ausreise ist Mara gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und hält ihren EU-Heimtierausweis bereit. Für eine Schutzgebühr kannst du ihr ein Zuhause geben.
