adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Annegret has found her home! Her story: Initially, there was great joy – unfortunately, Annegret had to leave her new home after only a few weeks because the spark did not ignite and Annegret's needs could not be met. Despite this, Annegret wants to do everything right and protect her new family. Currently, she is overachieving and shows what she can do on the leash as a true protector. Therefore, Annegret needs clear, loving, and consistent guidance to relieve her of the responsibility so she can fully develop and live her best dog life. Annegret was already able to travel directly from a Romanian shelter to Germany at the age of four months. Initially, she adapted well, but the high stress level in her previous family increasingly overpowered her. A special note: Annegret was born without a tail. Annegret is very people-oriented, cuddly, and has a good size to be present everywhere. She shows little prey drive and forms a strong bond with her primary caregiver. She is very clever and wants to be mentally and physically challenged. Annegret learns quickly and eagerly. Especially beautiful: Annegret is child-friendly, and children from about six years old are well accommodated in her home. She also masters car rides calmly. Annegret cannot be rehomed with cats or very small dogs because she tends to engage in rough play and lack of personal space. She still needs clear structures, loving guidance, and an environment where she feels safe. Are you the right person for Annegret as a calm presence with fun in training and joy in a really clever, hard-working dog? Then sign up quickly and get to know Annegret! Annegret is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She is not neutered. She will of course bring her EU pet passport with her upon positive adoption. Many thanks to Edna! You gave Annegret her name and a piece of her identity. As of: 24.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Edna! Stand: 24.03.2026

About Annegret

What life with Annegret looks like

Annegret is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annegret, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annegret?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annegret on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annegret if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annegret already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annegret isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annegret and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
