Marble

Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

She has been remarkably focused on people from the very beginning. She looks you straight in the eye, seeks contact, walks up to you and loves to be picked up. She just wants to be with you. While some kittens first want to see what's happening, Marble seems to think: "There you are! Come to me?" On June 14, 2026, Marble was born to mom Mees, along with her four brothers Midnight, Maus, Mellow and Musty. Mom Mees was an incredibly good mother, but also very anxious. She defended her kittens with everything she had. The first period the kittens spent a lot of time safely in her cage. When they could eat independently, they were given more freedom to play outside the cage and discover the world. Marble has made full use of this. She is curious, enterprising and loves contact. Of course, she is also just a lovely kitten who likes to play, run after her brothers and investigate everything she comes across. She has already had two vaccinations, is chipped, dewormed and flea-free. For her third vaccination and sterilization you will receive a voucher. For Marble we are looking for a loving home where her social character is given all the space. A calm approach remains important, especially since she is used to a quiet environment, but Marble herself makes it very clear that she wants contact.

NL·Show original

About Marble

What life with Marble looks like

Marble is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Hokazo in Uden.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marble, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marble?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hokazo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marble on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marble if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hokazo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marble already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marble isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hokazo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marble and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
