Marit is initially shy and cautious but quickly gets used to new people if given a few hours/days. She is a very loving cat who loves attention and affection. She likes to sleep next to someone in bed and also enjoys lying next to someone on the sofa. She loves to be petted on the head, around the ears, and under the chin. She likes to play and wants someone to throw balls for her so she can chase them. She also enjoys playing with cat wands under blankets, hiding them a bit. However, she has become less playful lately as she is older and appreciates taking it slow on the sofa. She is very active and likes to jump onto large furniture, such as cabinets. She eats special food due to an allergy. (Hills prescription diet, Z/d food sensitivites) Other food makes her lick the fur off her stomach. We don't know if she gets along with small children, but she has been with a family with a 10-year-old child and it went well. She is an indoor cat and wants to continue being one. She can appreciate being outside in the forest on a leash but is afraid of sudden noises from unfamiliar people and dogs. Marit and Alexandra have lived together for 10 years and are best friends who find great security in each other, so they want to live together for life. They don't want to live with other cats or dogs. Marit has periodontitis which means she must brush her teeth regularly and visit the vet annually. Her dental care is not covered by insurance.

Marit är till en början blyg och försiktig men vänjer sig snabbt vid nya människor om hon får några timmar/dagar på sig. Hon är en väldigt kärleksfull katt som älskar uppmärksamhet och gos. Sover gärna bredvid en i sängen och tycker om att ligga bredvid en i soffan. Älskar att bli klappad vid huvudet, runt öronen och under hakan. Hon gillar att leka och vill att man ska kasta bollar åt henne så hon kan jaga dem. Hon gillar även att man leker med kattspön under filtar, gömmer dem lite. Hon har dock blivit mindre lekfull nu på äldre dar och uppskattar att ta det lugnt i soffan. Hon är väldigt hoppig och gillar att hoppa upp på stora möbler, exempelvis vitrinskåp. Äter specialfoder på grund av allergi. (Hills prescription diet, Z/d food sensitivites) Annat foder gör att hon slickar bort päls från magen. Vi vet inte om hon går ihop med små barn men hon har varit hos en familj med barn i 10 års ålder och det gick bra. Hon är en van innekatt och vill fortsätta vara det. Kan uppskatta att vara ute i skogen i koppel men är rädd för plötsliga ljud från okända människor och hundar. Marit och Alexandra har bott tillsamman i 10 år och är bästa vänner som finner stor trygghet i varandra, så de vill bo tillsammans livet ut. De vill inte bo med andra katter eller hundar. Marit har parodontit vilket gör att hon måste borsta tänderna regelbundet och gå till tandläkaren årligen. Hennes tandvård täcks inte av försäkringen. Inkom i jourhem 2026-02-23
