I am Marla, a sweet and loving cat who desperately needs a permanent foster home. My current caregivers want more intensive care for me, which is difficult to provide in a shelter environment. What can I say about myself? I am a very affectionate cat who enjoys human company and being petted. However, I have neurological problems that affect my balance, causing me to wobble when walking and making it difficult for me to jump onto elevated surfaces. My vision is also impaired, but I can still sense light and darkness and notice movement in my field of vision. This is why I sometimes miss the litter box and have accidents. Please don't mind, it's not intentional. Ideally, you should have a handicap-friendly area for me or be able to make some adjustments to your home if necessary. Other than that, I adapt quite well. You can see that I still enjoy life and would love to spend my golden years in a real home. Make an appointment to meet me, and I'm sure I'll quickly snuggle into your heart! Hallo, ich bin die liebe Marla! Ich suche ganz dringend eine Dauerpflegestelle, weil sich meine Pfleger eine intensivere Betreuung für mich wünschen - hier im Tierheimalltag ist das eher schwierig umzusetzen. Was kann ich zu mir sagen? Ich bin eine zuckersüße und total liebe Katze, die die Gesellschaft von Menschen sehr genießt und gerne gestreichelt wird. Allerdings habe ich neurologische Probleme und dadurch Schwierigkeiten mit meinem Gleichgewichtssinn. Deshalb schwanke ich beim Gehen etwas und habe Probleme auf erhöhte Positionen zu springen. Sehen kann ich auch nicht mehr so gut, ich nehme aber noch Licht und Dunkelheit war und merke, wenn sich in meinem Sichtfeld etwas bewegt. Aus diesem Grund treffe ich beim Kot absetzen auch nicht immer perfekt ins Klo, manchmal geht auch ein bisschen was über den Rand. Das müsst ihr mir nachsehen, ich mache das schließlich nicht extra... Am schönsten wäre es deshalb, wenn ihr einen möglichst Handicap-Gerechten Bereich für mich hättet oder eure Wohnung ein bisschen umgestalten könntet, falls das für mich notwendig ist. Bis auf meine "Baustellen" komme ich aber ganz gut klar. Man merkt, dass ich noch Freude am Leben habe und gerne noch meinen Lebensabend in einem richtigen Zuhause genießen möchte. Macht gerne mal einen Termin aus und lernt mich kennen, ich wette ich kuschel mich ganz schnell in euer Herz!
