Marley

Mixed Breed · Male · Senior · 15 years

Everyone says you can’t help but love Marley! He's an adorable 14 – 15 year old Crossbreed who would love to find a caring retirement home soon. Meantime, Leicester Animal Aid is looking after him and hopes he will go home soon. Apart from being slightly deaf and partially sighted, all due to age, Marley is so much fun! His cute and scrumptious face is adored by all at the Rescue. He never asks for too much apart from love and to be adored. He is a crackling little fella who is quite confident in himself and loves spending time with people and eating. Now that Marley is aging gracefully, he loves having companionship and craves an owner to be around and could live with children aged 10+. He is happy enjoying short potters, taking in the scenery, sights and smells that he may have missed when being an excited pup. Marley can get excited around other dogs, so he's happy living as the only pet at home. Marley is hard of hearing these days and the body isn’t as flexible as it used to be, but he’s happy chasing a ball and making new doggy friends when out on a walk. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Could you help cute Marley with a loving home? About Marley

What life with Marley looks like

Marley is a senior mixed breed dog waiting at The Oldies Club in United Kingdom.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marley, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marley?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. The Oldies Club handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marley on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marley if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — The Oldies Club will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marley already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marley isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with The Oldies Club early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marley and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
