adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Marlon has found its people! Its story: How is it possible that four little wonders are still unwanted? The siblings Marlon, Rick, Freyja, and Matilda were simply discarded. No one wanted to take responsibility for the puppy babies – a fate of many. Now, the little one can rest at our animal rescuer Carmen's in Bistrita. Starting around mid-December, the journey to happiness can begin, and Marlon could pack its little backpack to travel to its heart's people. Marlon is a charming sight with its bright fur. Boldly, it looks around with its dark button eyes. The floppy ears and snout are darkly framed, and one can't help but look twice. At about 17 cm shoulder height, the little Marlon is currently; as an adult, it will be roughly medium-sized. Marlon loves the people in the foster home and the wrestling and playing with its three siblings. It meets everyone openly and cheerfully and is a lovable puppy. Will you open the door to your world for Marlon? It awaits something new and unusual. Marlon has never walked around with its two-legged family, so leash walking is completely foreign. The sounds of a house can be scary, the new environment must be explored and accepted. Also, indoor potty training was not relevant for him until now. How should Marlon know that you can be trusted and that you are a safe place? You will have to explain this to him in peace and with composure. To navigate the sometimes stormy time of puberty with sovereignty and as relaxed as possible, you should bring professional dog schools or trainers into the boat. With their help and positive support, Marlon can trustfully place itself in your hands and learn what is important for him and you. Then the way is clear for the best relationship one can wish for between a dog and a human: deep connection and a friendship that lasts a dog's lifetime. Marlons life did not start well. If you want to give him a spot in your heart and a cozy home, feel free to contact us. Marlon is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for fleas. It was named by its godmother Cindy, who gave it an identity. As of 12.12.

Stand: 12.12.2024

About Marlon

What life with Marlon looks like

Marlon is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marlon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marlon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marlon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marlon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marlon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marlon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marlon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
