adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this dog now! If you are searching for a beautiful and friendly puppy, then Marlon might be the right one for you! Marlon and his sister Sanna are two charming puppies waiting together with their mother Ylia at the Public Shelter in Baia Mare to leave their cage and start a new, better life. The fluffy puppies urgently need support to begin their new life, as they should not grow up in the noise and dirt of the shelter. The shelter is loud and overcrowded, and especially for puppies, life is very hard and dangerous. Therefore, we have promised ourselves not to rest until we know the puppies are safe and found a place with loving people who will care for and love them and show them how wonderful life as a family dog can be. Marlon is very friendly and open-minded and a typical playful male dog. He loves playing and enjoys being petted and cuddled. Marlon has short, black fur with white patches on his chest and paws. With dark, hopeful eyes, he looks confidently into his future. Marlon is only about three months old and will likely reach medium size. Of course, the little puppy still has no experience with life as a house dog and knows little about indoor cleanliness and leash manners. But Marlon is an alert and lively male dog. With lots of love and consistent treatment, his development into a confident and cheerful dog can be supported. After the adjustment period, Marlon will look forward to attending a positively working dog training class. In a few months, Marlon will enter puberty, which can put everything he has learned so far into question and test the boundaries again. But hopefully, with loving and consistent upbringing, the little puppy will also get through this important life stage well. We wish Marlon loving people who will take him in gently and patiently, provide him with a family connection, a cozy dog bed, beautiful walks, and – most importantly for a puppy – enough contact with fellow animals. We would also be very happy about a foster home for Marlon. After a positive We heartily thank the namingsponsor Katrin C. for giving the little tough guy his name! Date: 02.05. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 02.05.2026

About Marlon

What life with Marlon looks like

Marlon is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Marlon, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Marlon?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Marlon on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Marlon if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Marlon already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Marlon isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Marlon and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
