Mary

Female

Could you be my perfect match? Hello! My name is I can live with Dogs Cats Children MY story Mary was on her final hour in the pound and no one had come to take her. Later that evening she would be euthanised. So we worked on a kennel and took her in. She was dumped as a stray and clearly just longs for human company and a fun acitivity to do. Mary is super friendly with everyone but does need some basic training. Kennels is not an ideal environment for her as she has a busy mind and wants to be out exploring and exercising. She is excited for life and it would be such a shame to see her spend years in kennels without someone by her side who can help her explore with them. A few months of solid training would see her be a very rounded lovely dog with someone who enjoys walking and exploring. MY PERFECT HOME Mary would suit an adult home with a family who are active and enjoy dog training. She would be amazing at agility or cani cross. She is very keen to learn and already knows a few tricks. But she definitely needs someone who enjoys training and has time to give to her to help her learn her manners a bit more around jumping up. She will need a minimum of 6ft fencing and you will in the early days need to be vigilant and with her in the garden as she can be bouncy. No children as she would knock them over also no cats, we have no way to tell but with her energy levels we feel she would likely chase them and be a nuisance to any resident cats. OUR 1 Fill in application form Please fill in the form as honestly as possible. About Mary

What life with Mary looks like

Mary is an adult dog waiting at Angels 4 Dogs Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mary, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mary?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Angels 4 Dogs Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mary on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mary if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Angels 4 Dogs Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mary already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mary isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Angels 4 Dogs Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mary and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
