Maryla

Female · Young · 1 year

Maryla is a young kitten with an exceptionally warm, almost human heart. From the very first moments, it's clear that the presence of a person is important to her - she eagerly approaches, looks carefully and gently seeks contact. She is nice, gentle and very subtle in her behavior, as if cautiously asking if she can trust. This is a cat who quickly becomes attached and beautifully responds to a calm, loving approach. She likes closeness, but in a non-intrusive way - all it needs is a warm voice, an outstretched hand and a moment of attention. Maryla has a lot of sensitivity and kindness, which gives her great potential to become a loyal, loving companion for many years. Before adoption, we recommend getting familiar with the pre-adoption questionnaire and visiting the animal shelter with the completed form: Note: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, be sure to bring a cat transporter or a transport bag to the animal shelter. Before adoption, make sure your home / apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Remember to secure the windows and balcony.

Maryla to młoda koteczka o wyjątkowo ciepłym, proludzkim sercu. Pamiętaj, żeby zabezpieczyć okna i balkon.

About Maryla

What life with Maryla looks like

Maryla is a small young adult cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Maryla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Maryla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Maryla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Maryla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Maryla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Maryla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Maryla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
