Adopt MASKOT (RESERVIERT)

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Breed: Brittany Spaniel or Epagneul Breton (mixed breed?) Project: Greece/Larissa (0, 06/2025) Gender: female/neutered Age: born 2024 Size: medium Weight: ca. 10.5 kg (as of 02/2026) Other: initially a bit shy but still very people-friendly, can communicate and play well with other dogs, has a typical prey drive Current Location: Foster family in Bamberg / Bavaria MASKOT’s Story MASKOT, known in the foster home as AVENYA, is making great progress in training and shows no signs of trauma. She already responds to her name and can adapt to new situations and sounds with patience. She gets along well with large dogs. She can be left alone for up to four hours after a thorough walk – ideal for people with part-time jobs or the ability to bring the dog to the office. Initially a bit shy and reserved with strangers, she warms up quickly (especially with treats 😉). She loves cuddles but sleeps quietly in her own bed at night. Her prey drive (especially towards birds and mice) is pronounced, but better control is already being trained. The recall with a lead is already working quite well and will become more reliable with further training. With patience and consistency, MASKOT/AVENYA is developing steadily. This is a current and accurate assessment of MASKOT. How she will behave in the future, especially after moving into a new home, we cannot predict. Every animal, like us humans, will change and continue to develop. But with the right, patient, and loving guidance, MASKOT will surely become a faithful companion. MASKOT is microchipped, neutered, treated for endo- and ectoparasites, and tested negative for the endemic Mediterranean diseases in the region of Greece/Larissa. We are convinced that MASKOT is the perfect female dog for active and dog-experienced people, perhaps even with children, because MASKOT loves all people and is happy with any attention. Who will give MASKOT a loving home where she can stay forever?.

Rasse: Brittany Spaniel oder Epagneul Breton (Mischling?) Projekt: Griechenland/Larissa (0, 06/2025) Geschlecht: weiblich/kastriert Alter: geb. ❤️

About MASKOT (RESERVIERT)

What life with MASKOT (RESERVIERT) looks like

MASKOT (RESERVIERT) is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. in Bamberg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting MASKOT (RESERVIERT), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about MASKOT (RESERVIERT)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw MASKOT (RESERVIERT) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt MASKOT (RESERVIERT) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is MASKOT (RESERVIERT) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if MASKOT (RESERVIERT) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know MASKOT (RESERVIERT) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
