Mason has been with us at the animal shelter since May 2026. From him – calm and relaxed – knows cats – not suitable for children – knows basic commands well – very food-motivated :) – leash-reactive – needs a ground-floor home with a garden. Mason was surrendered to us because his owners can no longer care for him sufficiently due to illness. Our sweet camel is very cuddly, loves having his belly rubbed, and would happily crawl onto your lap despite his size. Mason knows his basic commands well—especially when you’ve got a treat handy. Once you do, he won’t leave your side! At home, Mason is relaxed and likes to lie right in the middle of things where he can keep an eye on everything. He’ll bark when the doorbell rings and keeps watch in the garden too. But most of all, he just wants to be near you and be part of whatever’s going on. He enjoys walks, but due to healed bilateral cruciate ligament surgeries, only short strolls are possible now. Therefore, a garden where he can enjoy the sun and off-leash time is essential in his new home. Mason views children and other dogs with suspicion, so he’d like to be the sole dog—his one-and-only prince. And we think our “gentle giant” has certainly earned that for his golden years! Mason ist seit Mai 2026 bei uns im Tierheim. Aus der – ruhig und gelassen – kennt Katzen – nicht zu Kindern – Grundkommandos gut – sehr futtermotiviert :) – Leinenpöbler – sucht ebenerdig mit Garten Mason wurde bei uns abgegeben, weil die Besitzer sich krankheitsbedingt nicht mehr ausreichend um ihn kümmern können. Unser liebes Kamel ist sehr verkuschelt, liebt es, sich den Bauch kraulen zu lassen und würde auch trotz seines Gewichts am liebsten auf den Schoß kriechen. Mason beherrscht die Grundkommandos gut – vor allem, wenn man ein Leckerlie zur Hand hat. Dann weicht er einem nicht mehr von der Seite! Im Haus ist Mason entspannt und liegt gern irgendwo mittendrin, wo er alles im Blick hat. Wenn es klingelt, kann er anschlagen und auch im Garten passt er auf. Am liebsten liegt er aber in der Nähe und ist einfach gern dabei. Spazieren geht er gerne, wegen verheilter beidseitiger Kreuzband-OP aber nur noch kurze Runde. Daher ist ein Garten, in dem er die Sonne und Freilauf genießen kann, in seinem neuen Heim ein Muss. Kinder und andere Hunde beäugt er skeptisch, daher möchte Mason Einzelprinz werden – und wir finden, das hat sich unser „gentle giant“ für seinen Lebensabend auch verdient!
