Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211

Mixed Breed · Male

Brötchen is an intake dog of a friendly association because larger emergencies needed a place. So Brötchen and his canine friend came to us to give other dogs a chance. Brötchen is a laid-back powerhouse with the charm of a cuddly bear. Despite his size, he is absolutely peaceful and relaxed on the leash when the initial excitement dies down. He is not fazed by belligerent fellow animals, but when his canine friend leads him, he shows his absolute masculinity—crying, shouting, and weeping until everything is back to normal and Brötchen is included. For this reason, we would like to introduce Brötchen to a charming female dog who can be a bit off the wall. He is open to crazy noodles and it doesn’t bother him at all; he remains the calmest in all situations. Alternatively, he could be placed in a home where he doesn’t have to be alone or where it’s not a bother if it gets loud. Since his breed originated in guarding the farm and caring for livestock, we see him more suited to a rural setting where he can watch the house and property, and where his need for a family is still met. Our clingy, balanced, and bear-strong type does not tolerate a gloomy exterior. No small Brötchen will be baked; he wants to experience a lot of family in the future. Brötchen’s blood count must be regularly checked due to a blood disorder, and he needs his medications daily, which are within a reasonable price range. For serious interest, we advise you together with our practice. Special preventive food is recommended. He does not show any clinical complaints. With us, he is watchful but meets man and mouse openly and friendly without any aggression. He is at ease and a popular dog for long walks. He is house-trained and in a nice lady’s company, he is happy to stay home alone. Who would like to be greeted daily by a happy Brötchen every morning?

DE·Show original

About Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211

What life with Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 looks like

Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Schkortitz in Grimma.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Schkortitz handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Schkortitz will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Schkortitz early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mastin Mix Brötchen &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
