Mateo has been waiting at our shelter for a very long time. His start in life wasn't easy. He came to the animal shelter as a young puppy with his siblings. Consequently, he is skeptical and shows it. However, his affectionate pen partner helps him to overcome his shyness. Unfortunately, he is also easily scared and quickly retreats if things feel unfamiliar to him. Mateo needs people with experience in dealing with anxious dogs. Maybe you are such a person and would like to help yet another dog from the animal shelter, one that otherwise has little chance. Mateo would surely be happy and grateful if he were finally allowed to leave the pen. Taking care of an animal shelter dog is always a special challenge. The dogs bring a backpack full of past experiences or unlearned situations, and they need time to adjust to their new lives. Mateo wartet schon sehr lange im Tierheim. Sein Start ins Leben war nicht einfach. Er kam bereits als Junghund mit seinen Geschwistern ins Tierheim. Dementsprechend ist er skeptisch und zeigt das auch. Seine Neugier siegt dann aber bald und er zeigt sich interessiert. Vor allem seine liebe Zwingerpartnerin hilft ihm dabei sich zu trauen. Leider ist er aber schreckhaft und zieht sich schnell wieder zurück, wenn es ihm unheimlich wird. Mateo braucht Menschen, die Erfahrung mit ängstlichen Hunden haben. Vielleicht sind Sie ja so ein Mensch und möchten noch einmal einem Hund aus dem Tierheim helfen, der sonst schlechte Chancen hat. Mateo wäre garantiert froh und dankbar, wenn er den Zwinger endlich verlassen darf. Die Verantwortung für einen Tierschutzhund ist immer eine besondere Herausforderung. Die Hunde bringen einen Rucksack mit vergangenen Erlebnissen oder ungelernten Situationen mit und brauchen Zeit sich an ihr neues Leben zu gewöhnen.
