Mateo

Mixed Breed · Male · Kitten · 5 months

Mateo arrived at Triple A on 7 July 2026, aged just two months, alongside his siblings James, Audrey and Ethan. During their first few months, as well as being with their siblings, they were kept company by Susan, a cat who had just seen her own kittens move to another room and who began to look after these little ones as if they were her own. For them, she was a very special companion and a way of continuing to feel protected and looked after. Mateo is a kitten who is a little shy at first, but he lets himself be stroked and enjoys being cuddled. He is affectionate with people and, little by little, is gaining confidence. He’s very sociable with other cats and gets on perfectly well with his housemates, including his siblings. He’s used to sharing playtime, space and quiet moments with them. Mateo is still young and has his whole life ahead of him. Now he needs to find a family who will give him love, security and the chance to continue growing up happily. 🐾 Adopt Mateo and give him the home he deserves. 🏡 To ensure his safety, it is essential that windows and balconies are fitted with appropriate safety measures before adoption. 📩 📸

About Mateo

What life with Mateo looks like

Mateo is a small kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Triple A Marbella in Marbella.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mateo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mateo?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Triple A Marbella handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mateo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mateo if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Triple A Marbella will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mateo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mateo isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Triple A Marbella early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mateo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
