The shelter environment is still not a safe haven for her - the new circumstances make Matilda cautious. Most often she stays close to her friend Margo, seeking comfort in familiar company. However, human presence is not foreign to Matilde. When the insecurity is overcome and a person is recognized as trustworthy, she allows caresses and truly enjoys them - quietly, gratefully and with deep calm. A potential owner should be prepared that the adaptation period may be longer. Matilde will need patience, a calm environment and a understanding person. For this reason, we do not recommend her to families with small children. Matilde kopā ar vairākiem citiem minčiem nonāca mūsu aprūpē no mājām, kur murrātāju bija kļuvis pārāk daudz un saimniece vairs nespēja pienācīgi parūpēties par visiem astaiņiem. Patversmes vide viņai vēl nav kļuvusi par drošu ostu – jaunie apstākļi dara Matildi piesardzīgu. Visbiežāk viņa turas cieši kopā ar savu draudzeni Margo, meklējot mierinājumu pazīstamā sabiedrībā.
