Maurice is affectionate and friendly, and enjoys cuddles very much – but he sets his own limits and wants his space to be respected. If he feels too much pressure, he can also react with impatience. Maurice is a true "character cat": he loves both his freedom and the closeness to his people – but always on his own terms. Those who can read his body language and grant him his freedoms will find a wonderful companion in him. As an outdoor cat, Maurice would like to have the opportunity to be out and about again in the future. A home in a quiet location would be ideal. He gets along well with other cats by nature, but prefers to be alone in his room. For Maurice, we are looking for cat-experienced people who respect his independence and provide an environment where he feels safe and accepted. A veterinary examination revealed a heart condition. Maurice must therefore receive heart medication permanently. A recheck in about six months (September 2026) will be necessary, with costs of approximately 250–300 € to be expected.

Maurice zeigt sich lieb und freundlich und genießt Streicheleinheiten sehr – allerdings bestimmt er selbst, wann genug gekuschelt wurde. Seine Grenzen teilt er klar mit und möchte, dass diese respektiert werden. Wird er zu sehr bedrängt, kann er auch einmal ungehalten reagieren. Maurice ist eine echte „Charakterkatze“: Er liebt sowohl seinen Freiraum als auch die Nähe zu seinen Menschen – allerdings immer zu seinen Bedingungen. Wer seine Körpersprache lesen kann und ihm Freiheiten zugesteht, wird in ihm einen tollen Gefährten finden. Als Freigänger möchte Maurice künftig unbedingt wieder die Möglichkeit haben, draußen unterwegs zu sein. Ein Zuhause in verkehrsberuhigter Lage wäre daher schön. Mit Katzen ist er nach Sympathie verträglich, jedoch ist er innerhalb seines Zimmers lieber für sich.
