Triple A Benelux: Update February 20, 2026: This weekend, Maus had a Valentine's outing with his friend Bosco who is also hoping to find a home through Podencoworld. How well both of them have behaved! Still not 100% convinced? Then take another look at the new photos and videos made of these two loving Podencos. + 4 new photos added of Maus. Input February 11, 2026: Hello, I'm Little Maus. When I was found on the street, I was very nervous and scared... but deep down I longed so much for love. I really wanted to be saved. And do you know what happened? After three days I dared to step into the arms of the volunteers. No leash, no fear - just trust. I am a very kind, sensitive little Podenco puppy. I love quiet attention, gentle hands and lots of cuddles. My greatest happiness? Walking with my best friend Rosaria, but she is already reserved. When we walked together it felt like we shared one heart. I miss her, but I certainly wish her the new home. Now I hope it's my turn. Walking on a leash is still something new and exciting for me. I'm still a bit unsure, but I practice every day. When I arrive at the dog park I turn into a Turbomaus! I run from corner to corner, make silly zoomies and feel completely free. In addition, I am curious and love to sniff around a lot. I find other dogs fine, I don't feel threatened and have met several already. I also travel well in the car and even fall asleep from the rocking. Oh, and not unimportant: I love food very much. I am also very fond of kind, patient people. Respectful older children can also fit with me, as long as they are calm and gentle. Being left alone behind a fence or gate still scares me - probably because I once was in a cage of a hunter, like so many Podencos here in Spain. My shoulder height is around 48-50 cm. In short, I am a nice medium-sized dog. What I need: * A quiet, loving home with lots of patience and gentle energy * A stable dog-friendly person would help me a lot, but it's not an absolute requirement. * Short, quiet walks while I practice to become more confident on the lead. * Older, respectful children who don't overwhelm me. * People who take me on quiet outings - I travel well. * Not too busy an environment; I thrive best with quiet and routine. * Lots of cuddles, gentle hands and the guarantee that I will never be left again. Ik wilde zo graag gered worden. En weet je wat er gebeurde? Al na drie dagen durfde ik zelf in de armen van de vrijwilligers te stappen. Geen riem, geen angst - gewoon vertrouwen. Ik ben een heel lief, gevoelig Podenco-jongetje. Ik hou enorm van rustige aandacht, zachte handen en veel knuffels. Mijn grootste geluk? Wandelen met mijn allerbeste vriendin Rosaria, maar zij is inmiddels gereserveerd. Als we samen wandelden was het alsof we samen één hart deelden. Ik mis haar, maar gun haar natuurlijk dat nieuwe thuis. Nu ben ik hopelijk aan de beurt.Aan de riem lopen is voor mij nog wat nieuw en spannend. Alleen ben ik nog wat onzeker, maar ik oefen elke dag. Als ik in het hondenpark aankom dan verander ik in een Turbomaus! Ik ren van hoek naar hoek, maak gekke zoomies en voel me helemaal vrij. Daarnaast ben ik nieuwsgierig en hou ik ervan om volop te snuffelen. Andere honden vind ik prima, ik voel me niet bedreigd en heb er al meerdere ontmoet. Ik reis ook goed mee in de auto en val zelfs in slaap door het wiegen. En oh, niet onbelangrijk: ik hou heel erg van eten.Ik ben bovendien dol op lieve, geduldige mensen. Respectvolle oudere kinderen kunnen ook bij mij passen, zolang ze rustig en zachtaardig zijn. Alleen achter een hek of poort gelaten worden, vind ik nog eng - waarschijnlijk omdat ik ooit in een kooi van een jager heb gezeten, zoals zoveel Podenco’s hier in Spanje. Mijn schouderhoogte ligt rond de 48-50 cm.
