Mäuschen Zita

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

Zita, a shy little mouse, is waiting in 16845 Stüdenitz for very special people with a heart ❤️ Breed: Mixed Birth (estimated): 01.08.2022 Height: 45cm Neutered: yes Location: Foster home in 16845 Stüdenitz Origin: Animal shelter Bucov, Romania Compatibility with children: yes ️ Compatibility with dogs: yes ️ Compatibility with cats: yes Zita is a gentle, shy little dog looking for people with a bit of patience and a lot of love in their hearts. ❤️ Our little mouse Zita enchants with her sugary sweet gaze and mischief in her neck. She is a loyal soul who loves to be active. The pretty mouse came from the Shelter Bucov in Romania to learn about life without fear and hunger. At her foster home, she can now learn new things every day and rediscover her adventurous spirit. However, some uncertainties will still accompany her for a while. And the little mouse takes her chance, she has made a great development in a very short time. She learns about life in a family piece by piece, also regularly contacts children of all ages. If she is not harassed, she can handle this situation very well. The older daughter of the family (16) loves her very much, the smaller Hüpfefloh (puppy) prefers to avoid her. In the existing dog pack, she is always friendly, but doesn't let anyone take the butter off her bread. She loves cuddling with her dog friends, but also seeks physical contact when lying with her humans. She is extremely loyal, always close to her foster mother. Meanwhile, Zita appreciates the advantages of a stroking hand. She loves Popokraulen (a type of belly rub) at her safety places. But one must consider that she may revert to old patterns during a move and may not want to be touched at first. Therefore, we are looking for people who also take time to get to know each other and make multiple visits. Zita loves going for walks and also drives reliably longer distances. During walks in quieter surroundings, she enjoys every minute, she loves to romp, runs well with and without a leash, always together with her two-legged person. She has already completed the first training in civilization - small town. Here, she has found her way back to orientation on humans after a short time getting used to the new situation. She also runs well on a leash in unfamiliar situations, even though her owner is her favorite as a leader. Zita has also experienced a holiday at the Baltic Sea. She loves the sea and putting her feet in the water. But she also mastered the overnight stay in a foreign environment very well. In new, unfamiliar situations, she tends to avoid. She then needs a loving, consistent leadership. Together with her human, she creates the way to a brave companion, we are sure of that. Despite all the little vices in her suitcase, she brings endless joy, love and trust. She constantly conjures a smile on her human's face. We wish Zita a loving home with time and patience. ❤️ A confident first dog and playmate would be very good for her. Zita moves neutered, vaccinated (distemper, H.c.c., parvovirus, parainfluenza, leptospirosis and rabies), chipped, dewormed and with an EU pet passport to her new home and will only be transferred after a positive pre-check, with a protection contract and against a protection fee through the Step by Paw e. V. association. In case of serious interest in an adoption, please write us a message. Please introduce yourself briefly so we already have an idea of how Zita would live with you. ➖➖➖➖➖➖ ℹ️ : Information on the topic of adoption can be found on our website under

About Mäuschen Zita

What life with Mäuschen Zita looks like

Mäuschen Zita is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Mäuschen Zita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Mäuschen Zita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Mäuschen Zita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Mäuschen Zita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Mäuschen Zita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Mäuschen Zita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Mäuschen Zita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
