Hello everyone, I’m Max, and my foster mom says my name really suits me because, according to her, I’m truly the MAX!! I’m now looking for my own little home, and I’ve got a modest wish list—but before I get started on that, I need to tell you something important about myself first: I’m leukemia-positive. Yeah, I know it sounds pretty serious, but right now I’m young, cheerful, and healthy! No one knows what the future holds, but I see life through rose-colored glasses, so I’m enjoying every single moment—no matter how long it might last! Phew, that’s out of the way—here’s my wish list: - I love attention, petting, cuddles, and kisses, so I’d love people who shower me with all of that! - I love to chat, so I’d also love people who like to chat back a bit—that’s really cozy for me! - As a kitten, I can live alone or with another cat who’s also leukemia-positive—we understand each other perfectly! - I’d absolutely love to live in a house where I can safely go outside. Since I’m not allowed to come into contact with other, healthy cats, the garden, balcony, or cat enclosure needs to be securely fenced off. - My new people need to be fully aware that with my leukemia, my future is a bit uncertain: I could get sick, I might have slightly higher medical costs, and I might not live as long as a healthy cat—but nothing is ever certain. Right now, I have no symptoms and feel great! - If you think you’ve already given me enough attention, you’re definitely mistaken—so please give me a few extra pets! Hallo allemaal, Ik ben Max en mijn opvangmama zegt dat mijn naam goed bij mij past want ik ben volgens haar ook echt de MAX!! Ik mag op zoek naar mijn eigen huisje en heb een bescheiden verlanglijstje maar voor ik daar aan begin, moet ik jullie eerst al iets belangrijks over mezelf vertellen: ik ben leucose positief. Ja klinkt best heftig, ik weet het, maar momenteel ben ik jong, vrolijk en gezond! Wat de toekomst brengt weet niemand, maar ik zie het leven door een roze bril dus geniet ik met volle teugen hoe lang het ook mag duren voor mij! Oef, dat hebben we achter de rug, hier is dus mijn verlanglijstje: - Ik geniet van aandacht, aaitjes, knuffels en kusjes dus graag mensen die me hier mee overladen - Ik praat graag, dus graag ook mensen die een beetje terugpraten, dat vind ik wel gezellig - Ik kan als katje alleen of samen met een andere kat die ook leucose positief is, wij begrijpen elkaar als de beste - Ik zou heeel graag in een huisje wonen waar ik ook veilig naar buiten kan. Aangezien ik niet in contact mag komen met andere, gezonde, katten moet de tuin/het balkon/de kattenren goed afgeschermd zijn - Mijn nieuwe mensen moeten dus wel goed beseffen dat ik met mijn leucose een beetje een onzekere toekomst heb: ik kan ziek worden, ik kan wat meer medische kosten hebben, ik kan misschien minder oud worden dan een gezonde kat maar niets is zeker.
