Max is a sweet, affectionate, and social dog who loves spending time with his humans and is very attentive and relaxed in everyday life. He alerts his owners to unusual sounds at home, but calms down quickly with a short word. He is extremely quick to learn and very intelligent. Max gets along well with cats and other dogs and is very social. He can be a bit rough when playing with other dogs, but this is just his way of playing. Max is looking for active and sporty people with firm leadership. He loves long walks and exercise. He needs loving and understanding people who can give him clear rules and security. Max would be ideal as a single dog, but could also be a good fit for a confident first dog. Children in the family should be at least 10 years old. Max is currently practicing being left alone.
