Maya is our beloved ray of sunshine. Her previous life was not ideal, but for the first 8 years she always had her person and her own "place on earth". After the death of two more caregivers, she ended up in the wrong hands, until she finally came to us... As you can imagine, she is no longer the youngest, and staying at the animal shelter is a big drama for her. She loves humans above all, but she doesn't have any love for other dogs. As we know, contact with people is very limited here, while with dogs - fellow sufferers from the adjacent cages, she has it non-stop. Despite everything, this wonderful female dog hasn't lost her good spirit, and her age says nothing about it! Maya has a lot of youthful energy, loves walking, rolling in the grass, and enjoying the time spent with volunteers. We also know that she travels well by car, and city traffic and noise are not a problem for her. We are also trying to socialize her with other members of the species, and sometimes from a distance it goes quite well 😉 Nevertheless, most of them still cause strong emotions in her and she can be quite pulled towards them, but incomparably less than when she came to us, she no longer sings out loud 🤭 This shows that even an older dog, in shelter conditions, can learn a lot! Maya is waiting for her savior, who will give her a wonderful life again and protect her from the shelter sadness, cold, and loneliness. She will surely repay it with the most beautiful and loyal dog friendship. Maya can live in a house with older children.

Maya to nasz kochany promyczek słońca. Jej wcześniejsze życie do idealnych nie należało, ale przez jego pierwsze 8 lat zawsze miała swojego człowieka i swoje własne "miejsce na ziemi". Po śmierci dwóch kolejnych opiekunów trafiła w niewłaściwe ręce, aż w końcu do nas... Jak więc się domyślacie, nie należy już do najmłodszych, a pobyt w schronisku jest dla niej niemałym dramatem. Człowieka uwielbia ponad wszystko, z kolei do innych psiaków ani trochę nie pała miłością. A jak dobrze wiemy, kontakt z ludźmi ma tutaj bardzo ograniczony, zaś z psami - towarzyszami niedoli z boksów obok, ma go non stop. Mimo wszystko ta wspaniała suczka nie utraciła pogody ducha, a jej wiek zupełnie o niczym nie świadczy! Maya ma w sobie mnóstwo młodzieńczej energii, kocha spacerować, tarzać się w trawce i korzystać z chwil spędzanych z wolontariuszami. Wiemy też, że ładnie podróżuje samochodem, a ruch uliczny i miejski gwar nie stanowią dla niej problemu. Staramy się również oswajać ją z towarzystwem innych przedstawicieli gatunku i na dystans wychodzi to czasami nawet całkiem nieźle 😉 Niemniej jednak większość z nich wciąż wzbudza w niej duże emocje i potrafi do nich mocno ciągnąć, ale nieporównywalnie mniej niż gdy do nas trafiła, nie śpiewa też już przy tym na cały głos 🤭 Świadczy to tylko o tym, że nawet nieco starszy pies, do tego w schroniskowych warunkach, może się wiele nauczyć! Maya czeka na swojego wybawcę, który na nowo podaruje jej wspaniałe życie i uchroni od schroniskowego smutku, zimna i samotności.
